Darby Version: Title of New Age World Teacher Replaces Christ

The title, "The Christ" is used only 19 times in the KJV. John Nelson Darby used the phrase "the Christ" a total of 131 times in his Darby Versionreplacing the KJV word, Christ with "the Christ" at least 100 times. Take note that John Darby removed the word, "Christ" (which refers to the individual, Jesus of Nazareth) and replaced it with the phrase, "the Christ" which New Agers regard as the office and title of their World Teacher.

Below is a sampling of John Darby's switch from Christ to "the Christ."

King James Bible John Darby Bible Version
Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.

Matthew 23:10

Neither be called instructors, for one is your instructor, the Christ.

[In this verse, Darby's "the Christ" is a mere instructor (teacher) like "the Christ" of the New Age Movement.]

[Click here to see the 46 New Testament verses where Darby reduced the Lord Jesus Christ to a mere teacher.]

And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Acts 5:42

And every day, in the temple and in the houses, they ceased not teaching and announcing the glad tidings that Jesus was the Christ.

Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.

For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

Romans 9:3

for I have wished, I myself, to be a curse from the Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen, according to flesh;

[Darby had his version say Paul wished to be be "a curse from the Christ" rather than "accursed from Christ." This rearrangement of the verse is an occult marking.]

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

[The Christ of the bible will gather together in one all things in him]

 Ephesians 1:10

for the administration of the fulness of times; to head up all things in the Christ, the things in the heavens and the things upon the earth; in him,

["The Christ" of the New Age/NWO will indeed "head up" things in the heavens, and upon the earth and these things will be devils and those under the devil's control.]

Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,

Matthew 11:2

But John, having heard in the prison the works of the Christ, sent by his disciples,
Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

Matthew 16:20

Then he enjoined on his disciples that they should say to no man that he was the Christ.

[Here Darby removed the name of the individual who is the (real) Christ!]

Mark 12:35

And Jesus answering said as he was teaching in the temple, How do the scribes say that the Christ is son of David?

Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?

John 7:41

Others said, This is the Christ. Others said, Does then the Christ come out of Galilee?
Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

John 7:42

Has not the scripture said that the Christ comes of the seed of David, and from the village of Bethlehem, where David was?
He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

1 Corinthians 10:16

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of the Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of the Christ?

Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

Ephesians 3:4

by which, in reading it, ye can understand my intelligence in the mystery of the Christ,)

[The "mystery of the Christ" is an occult term:

"The mystery of the Christ is therefore that of the divine power descending into matter, for the purpose of operating in the lower kingdoms of nature." Quote source: http://www.theosociety.org/pasadena/edge-uml/edge-uml.htm]

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Ephesians 3:17

that the Christ may dwell, through faith, in your hearts, being rooted and founded in love,
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Ephesians 4:15

but, holding the truth in love, we may grow up to him in all things, who is the head, the Christ:
But ye have not so learned Christ;

Ephesians 4:20

But *ye* have not thus learnt the Christ,
And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

Ephesians 5:2

and walk in love, even as the Christ loved us, and delivered himself up for us, an offering and sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour.
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Ephesians 5:5

For this ye are well informed of, knowing that no fornicator, or unclean person, or person of unbridled lust, who is an idolater, has inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

[Christ is head of the church.]

Ephesians 5:23

for a husband is head of the wife, as also the Christ is head of the assembly. *He* is Saviour of the body.

[What kind of assembly is "the Christ" (the title and office of the New Age World Teacher) qualified to be head of? The General Assembly of the United Nations.]

[Notice that John Darby removed the definite article, "the" before the word, Saviour.]

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

[Christ loved the church]

Ephesians 5:25

Husbands, love your own wives, even as the Christ also loved the assembly, and has delivered himself up for it,

["The Christ" loved the assembly.]

For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

Ephesians 5:29

For no one has ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as also the Christ the assembly:

[The KJV has the Lord cherishing the church and Darby has "the Christ" cherishing the assembly.]

Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

Ephesians 6:5

Bondmen, obey masters according to flesh, with fear and trembling, in simplicity of your heart as to the Christ;
Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

Philippians 1:15

Some indeed also for envy and strife, but some also for good will, preach the Christ.
But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

Philippians 1:17

but those out of contention, announce the Christ, not purely, supposing to arouse tribulation for my bonds.
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:5

But the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of the Christ.

[The KJV says the Lord directs Christians into the patient waiting for Christ, Darby's Version directs them into the patience of "the Christ."!]

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Hebrews 3:14

For we are become companions of the Christ if indeed we hold the beginning of the assurance firm to the end;

[The KJV says we are made "partakers of Christ." Darby says "we are become companions of "the Christ."]

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Hebrews 6:1

Wherefore, leaving the word of the beginning of the Christ, let us go on to what belongs to full growth, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and faith in God,
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 9:14

how much rather shall the blood of the Christ, who by the eternal Spirit offered himself spotless to God, purify your conscience from dead works to worship the living God?
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Hebrews 9:28

thus the Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear to those that look for him the second time without sin for salvation.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

1 Peter 3:15

but sanctify the Lord the Christ in your hearts, and be always prepared to give an answer to every one that asks you to give an account of the hope that is in you, but with meekness and fear.
The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

1 Peter 5:1

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am their fellow-elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, who also am partaker of the glory about to be revealed:
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

2 John 1:9

Whosoever goes forward and abides not in the doctrine of the Christ has not God. He that abides in the doctrine, *he* has both the Father and the Son.
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Revelation 20:4

And I saw thrones; and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them; and the souls of those beheaded on account of the testimony of Jesus, and on account of the word of God; and those who had not done homage to the beast nor to his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and hand; and they lived and reigned with the Christ a thousand years:
